This privacy policy pertains to the use of the Created Expression web site at http://created-expression.com. This privacy policy covers how Created Expression treats personal information that Created Expression collects and receives. This policy is effective March 18, 2007.

In the world of the web — where so much is out there and open — privacy, respect of privacy and securing privacy are fundamental to our personal well-being. To that end… information provided by you will never be used for any purpose other than the one for which you supplied it. Your information will not be shared, sold or rented within the terms of use agreement. Information gathered by the site is so done privately and is used only to better serve you in your visits. Any gathered information that could be linked to your person will not be shared. Every effort is made to ensure the security of any provided or gathered information. Account information is password protected, passwords are encrypted and sensitive data transmission is done with SSL encoding.

Which Information is Collected and Why

Personal Information: Created Expression collects personal information when you register with Created Expression. When you register you are asked for your name, e-mail address and certain optional information such as biographical location. This information is used by the site to manage your connections to the site. Only your member name (userid, username, alias) will be shown publicly or to other members and this only when you choose to comment or post material.

Log Information: Created Expression automatically receives and records information on server logs from your browser, including your IP address, cookie, and the page you request. This information is for statistical and anti-spam purposes only.

Information Sharing and Disclosure

When you submit a commit, post a message or share your work in our members gallery, the member name that you post under is visible to other members and sometimes is visible to “guests” (meaning not registered or logged in visitors). Beyond this, the information you choose to make available (i.e. your e-mail address or web site url) is your responsibility. Created Expression does not rent, sell, or share your personal information with other people, companies or organizations unless you have so requested or have given us permission beforehand. And, this agreement is nullified if the terms of use are breached.

Editing and Deleting Account Information

You may, at any time, change your account information, excepting your member name. If you wish to deactivate your account, please send an e-mail stating this (and including your member name and the e-mail address you use in your account) to This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it . Account information is password-protected on our servers and passwords are encrypted within this password-protected files. This means that we can help you generate a new password but we can’t tell you what your current one is (even though the software knows whether or not the one you typed in is valid).

Information We Leave with You

Cookies: A cookie is a small amount of data, usually including an anonymous unique identifier, that is sent to your browser from a web site’s computers and is stored on your computer’s hard drive. The Created Expression site uses its own cookies to access your information when you “log in” (if you wish to be “remembered”) as well as to estimate and report site traffic. Any information stored is not linked to any personally identifiable information you submit while on our site and you can of course always choose to set your browser to reject all or this specific cookie.

Member-related E-mail: You will receive a welcome/confirmation e-mail when you register. Receipt and confirmation of this e-mail is required for consequent login privileges. Beyond this, you might on rare occasions, receive service-related announcements pertinent to the functioning of your account.
