Most of my jewellery is made of sterling silver, glass and semi-precious gemstones. Some of the beads are contemporary lampworked pieces, some are polymer clay, some are Bali silver, some are vintage. And, some pieces are made with gold-filled (different from and better than gold-plated :o) metal. The amulets are beaded with glass seed beads and usually some stones. And… details of materials used are included in the individual piece descriptions.
Notably I spend a lot of time looking for materials in general and beads in particular. A lot. I adore this. I anguish about which to choose. I revel in those I purchase. I always try to work with them “as they would have it”. All of this, all of the parts of this, is a completely exquisite experience (but then I am convinced that I was a magpie in a former life :o)
And, I spend a lot of time on — which I think is a wonderful venue for artists and a great opportunity for buyers. If you don’t know about eBay, do check it out (there are many local-to-your-country eBay’s) but be aware that it comes with an attached “addictive” warning label.
