I have always loved stones, rocks, crystals. I love being around them and having them around me (or in my pocket, or around my neck, or… :o) I have always felt them as chunks — little and big — of earth’s art. And, I always feel that by being in contact with them I, somehow, am in connection with “all of time”, the infinite manifestations of past, present and future. (For me, this is a good thing :o)
I guess I love the honest and pure physicality of crystals… in all senses and meanings of that. Whether or not we connect to them and regardless of the level at which we connect to them if/when we do, our relationship to them “is as it is”. And, I actually further think that our connection to them reflects how we work with, relate to and how aware we are of different manifested and manifesting energies in “our” lives… however large or small “our” is.

If you are a crystal lover and/or if you’ve checked out the links I’ve listed under re/sources, I’m pretty sure that you know why I see crystals as one form of earth’s art. They definitely “stand” as creations on their own merit (and are everywhere, together with more “traditional” art, in our home) and they definitely inspire me creatively as well. |
