I have always been mesmormized by shadows. I think that I have always seen them as dances of light. So… inspired by some photographs of this dance (on the wall in front of me here :o) is a new series of images called Of Light. Please check it out if you have a moment.

Not only has the site received a new look this year but so have my cards…

The image on the front of the newest card (seen above right) comes from photographs of some of my “hands” work. The hands were originally tracings of my and my daughter’s hands. These tracings were scanned, resized, reprinted and then cut out of silver. Some of the pieces were worked into pendants and these were photographed. The digital images were then manipulated and the image used on my card is one of the results of that.

Although I love the clarity and open-ness of the white cards (which I will still use :o) the darker background makes the metal and the colours of the earrings displayed on them pop. (Maybe more of metaphor than I realized :o) And, depending on the card model, the back “flap” or side (seen below right) shows images of some more of my work.

I look forward to sending these out into the world. I hope that you look forward to receiving them :o)

Fall is definitely my favourite season!

Completely inspired by a couple of leaves picked in front of our house, I have added a new series of images called Oak Leaves. Please check it out if you have a moment.

After having started another line of discussion here around the “how to” of jewellery making, I decided to pull the whole thing to another blog, Created Expression / How To.

This means that there is now a…

• Created Expression site - this is where all of my “stuff” is
• Created Expression blog - a complement to the site, giving news of the site (you are here :o)
• Created Expression / How To blog - another complement to the site meant for discussions around the “how to” of some of the stuff found on the site
• On Being blog - for miscellaneous stuff that doesn’t fit into any of the Created Expression places listed above :o)

My intention is to clarify and not confuse so I hope that this is indeed the case.
